WWI US Army Victory Medal - "Great War for Civilization"

Here we have a special World War 1 medal representing the countries involved in the "Great War for Civilization." The ornate military medal represents the French campaign during the conflict. The front side is engraved with a winged goddess with a sword and a shield. The reverse has a U.S emblem surrounded by a list of 14 countries.

The medal came out of a large military collection from southern Minnesota, which included many items for WWI and WWII.

The medal measures just under 1 1/2" and 1/8" thick, and the ribbon measures about 1 3/4". The piece has great patina throughout. The ribbon is worn yet intact. The pin mechanism is really cool and functional. It has a lever you need to pull in order to release the pin. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
