WPA Era Folk Art Painting of Waterfall Landscape | 1934

Here we have a stunning folk art painting of a waterfall amidst of an exploding green forested landscape. The colorful oil on canvas board is a sight to behold, complete with overworked detail and patina from age. The 1930s painting just pops, and never lets up. The contrast of the detailed colors slice every which way. Thinking about the artist, F.J. Forano, witnessing this amazing view 90 years ago and putting the brush to canvas is so cool. I can go on and on but all you need to do is review the pictures again.
The folk art painting comes out of an old Massachusetts estate. The landscape painting is signed F.J. Forano in the lower righthand corner. I haven't found much background on the artist, The painting is dated 7-6-1934 on the reverse.
The framed oil on canvas board measures 26 1/2" wide by 20 1/2" tall. There is a surface patina throughout, as well as slight speckle losses in a few areas. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the rare folk art painting.
