Here we have a very unique specimen chart detailing the growth of pearl from one month to a year, then two years, and then three. Maybe it's just the romantic in me, but nothing says you care like an old pearl specimen display. There's a lot of material to glitter, and she glitters in spades. The old cushioning is a nice touch. It tames the mirrorball effect of the pearls! My head is still spinning on the dance floor.
The rare pearl specimen display comes out of an old collector's estate in the Duluth MN area. The Japanese display was likely created sometime in the first part of the 20th century, the early 50s at the latest.
The antique pearl display measures just under 12" wide by 9 1/4' tall. There is discoloration from age, especially along the edges. None of it takes away from the power of the display. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
