Here we have a set of two vintage ink resist paintings from 1954. I had no idea the psychedelic age started in the 50s. These two unframed pieces are detailed, funky and they seriously pop. The surreal landscapes are a total trip. One of the paintings is signed "Parlin" in the lower right corner, and one of the paintings has a watermark stating "Hand Made 1954." The artist is still a mystery to me. The two psychedelic paintings originated from the estate of a long time Twin Cities art collector.
The unframed paintings measure about 22" x 15". The material is heavy, handmade paper. The edges show evidence of old tape, both existing and removed. The two ink resist artworks may have been framed at one point. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only.
What a long strange trip it's been! Grateful Dead to the hilt. Don't miss out.
