Vintage Illustration Art of Dude with Cool Collar from 1950s
Here we have a vintage illustration art piece of a dude with the collar straight up. He's a rock 'n' roller and no vampires are gonna come chomping. The moody ink drawing was made in 1952. I don't know the publication it was used in, but I'm sure he added a bit of edge to the content. The cross hatch ink design is in full force with this one. Zoom in, you'll see what I'm talking about. A barrel of ink was used on this drawing.
The vintage drawing comes out of an illustration art collection out of Chicago. The artist is a mystery to me. I can't find a signature anywhere. However, the guy or gal was paid on May 23, 1952 for their skills (see reverse pics).
The full piece measures 12 1/4" x 10 1/4". The image measures about 9 1/2" x 7 1/2". The artwork is attached to the immediate backing board with adhesive. However, it's not consistent across the piece. The top right and bottom left corners are a bit detached. There are a few discoloration spots, especially near the right cheek bone. There's also a horizontal crease along the mouth. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the illustration art.
Whatever publication featured this image likes the shadowy content. Outstanding. Cross hatch!
