Here have a rare vintage Iittala Gaissa advertising poster from 1973. This rare poster was the introduction to the new Gaissa barware series in 1973. It's still raging today. As you raise your glasses for a toast, there'll be at least one person with a wandering eye to this hanging on your bar wall.
The unusual design on this one is about as good as it gets. Dark as night background, killer white block font, a red target logo, and a massive glass of booze in the center of it all....on the rocks, of course. This is THE look you want in your vintage cocktail lounge. I can't get over the size of the glass of booze. Good show!
Here's a write up about the Gaissa glassware line, designed by Tapio Wirkkala:
The cocktail poster was found in a large collection of vintage posters between the 50s to the 80s.
The barware poster measures 27 1/2" high and 19 1/2" wide. The wall art was used and is in vintage condition. There are pinholes in all corners. There are a couple surface scrapes in the top right area. There are a few nicks, especially along the edges. Overall, the piece will still knock you out cold. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. The poster will be shipped in a FedEx poster tube. Free shipping on this piece.
I can honestly say I've never been blown away by a glassware poster.....until now. What a design. That is a huge glass of booze. Don't miss out.
