Here we have a vintage Harley Davidson leather cap made by The Leather Goods in El Cajon, CA, which dealt in handmade leather goods since the middle of last century. This perfectly weathered gem came from an old biker in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He lived it, and so did this killer hat. The crest houses a vintage Harley Davidson patch, likely from the 1950s or 60s. The colors look like it was branded in flames.
I was told this hat is from the 1950s but I think it's the 1960s. This is Brando in "The Wild One" all day long. When you throw this fella on you can actually hear screaming pipes off in the distance. Ghost Rider!
The rare motorcycle cap is labeled a size Large, and the original manufacturer's label is attached as well. I wear a 7 5/8 and the hat is just a tad too small for me. There is perfect patina everywhere. This baby felt the open air of Highway 61, I guarantee it. The hat is fully authentic, including the light cigar/cigarette smell it acquired. Are you shocked? I didn't think so. The edge of the patch is starting to detach (see pic). Nothing a little sewing won't fix. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes please). Free shipping on the vintage Harley leather cap.
Word to the wise. Don't mess with Texas, and don't mess with the guy or gal wearing this hat.
