Rare Perfume Atomizer Cane by Marcel Franck | 1920s
Here we have a rare perfume gadget cane made by the Marcel Franck company in the roaring 1920s. No outfit is complete without this crazy dazzler, entitled "Le Kid." It'll put that outfit over the moon and the reflections off the mother of pearl fittings will blind every passerby. Just give the top a twist and you're in business. You can spray the sweet scent and fend off an attacker all in one swing!
The rare atomizer gadget cane is marked "Le Kid, B TE SGDS, FRANC(K)" on the brass mechanism (see pic). And don't forget the brass ferule at the bottom. It's all the swagger of 1920s France.
The antique walking stick came out of cane collection in the Twin Cities area.
The vintage cane measures just over 34" tall (closed), and just over 35" (opened). The mother of pearl inlay pattern is missing two segments (see closeup pic). When you twist, the knob, it opens up, as seen in the pics. To close the gadget, you push the knob down, find the groove, and twist to lock it. The spring in the pump seems to be working. I'm unsure how you fill the device and aim the thing. I haven't tried with my own perfume....(ahem). The ebony wood shaft has perfect patina throughout, all the way to the brass ferule at the tip. Please see all pics as they are part of the description. Happy to answer any questions or hear any directions on how to use it.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). Free shipping on this rare gadget walking stick.
Any lady walking down the street with this beauty has my attention. France? 1920s? C'mon!
