Here we have a cool pyrography Folk Art piece from the turn of the century. The image of the carriage in the dark of night is wicked. That whip is front and center. And then you got the whole Beverly Hillbillies situation happening. I'm unsure where this band of bandits is going, but a couple of the crew have Christmas hats on. And what's up with the sad sap in the back of the carriage?
Check out the detail, especially along the border pattern. The pyrography artist is unknown. I believe the antique artwork may be Flemish but I'm unsure. This looks to be from the turn of the century.
The fork art pyrography measures 16.5" x 12". There is old fabric on the reverse of the piece. There is a 3.5" crack along the middle left edge. At this spot there is some warping that carries across, although not as significant. There are losses in several places, especially along bottom right border, upper left border and the bottom of the carriage wheel. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on this piece.
This turn of the century art is for you wild bandit types. It'd look great in a man cave. Whip it. Whip it good.
