Here we have a original Hobo watercolor painting on card stock created by a real life hobo artist by the name of B.F. Egan. What an image. He's a bruiser and he's cruisin'. Love the contorted stance of this trend setter.
The piece was originally acquired at a Hobo Days festival in the Midwest, likely in Minnesota or Iowa. On the reverse a previous owner signed the following:
"Clara [illegible] Willow River, Minn."
As for the age, I'm guessing the watercolor on card stock was created in the 1970s. Total guess y'all. It might be earlier. As for the artist, he may have alias like "Smokey Joe." He's still a mystery to me. I do know he's got killer talent.
The card stock measures 4" tall by 2 1/3" wide. There is some wear from age throughout. The corners have a bit of wear. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the Hobo artwork.
You can tell this guy to strut his stuff but he's light years ahead of you. Wicked.
