New York City Woodcut Print from 1930s Art Deco Period
Here we have a gorgeous Art Deco woodcut print of New York City. Now this is the city I want to visit, complete with slices, edges and cliffs everywhere. The black and white block print scene is a stunner. It reminds me of New York City through the lens of M.C. Escher. This one needs to be framed and displayed. Imagine this art piece hangin on a wall with a lone soft accent light. Outstanding.
The rare art print came out of an art collection in the Twin Cities. I've looked everywhere and can't find another one. The artist is a mystery to me. I don't see a signature anywhere.
The vintage artwork is made of very thin fragile paper, possibly rice paper. The full piece measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The image measures 8 1/4" x 6". The print is experiencing some foxing, especially around the borders (see pics). The edges are experiencing some crinkling. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the rare urban artwork.
I can look at this scene all day long. It slices and dices right through your heart.
