Large Tintype Daguerreotype of Hand Painted Creepy Couple
Here we have a large painted tintype or daguerreotype of a couple party animals from the 1860s or 70s. This is an early rare photograph, especially in the full plate size.
Talk about a creepy scene in a serene setting. The painted scenery is really well done, with the bold dark blue sky and frosted green trees. And then right in the middle of it you have two stone cold ghosts staring right at you. Look at the glow around them. It's wicked. Not a smile in this universe. Check out the guy's face. I'm pretty sure he's looking right at a ghost too. As for Nurse Ratchet, she don't take no mess.
The tintype measures 10" x 7". It's a very rare size. The top two corners are clipped. The bottom edge is slightly bent. There are a couple areas of loss along the lower left edge and middle bottom. When the light reflects at a certain angle, you can see surface scratches. I don't think it takes anything away from the unsettling image. The reverse still has most of the paper covering, with a couple larger holes and small stains throughout. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

This picture says a thousand words in a creepy whisper. It's the perfect addition to that odd or creepy decor. Don't miss out.
