Here we have a rare art exhibition poster for the work of Kathe Kollwitz. The posters made in 1980 and promotes an exhibition at The College of Saint Catherine in St. Paul, and sponsored by the Catherine G. Murphy galleries. The main image represents the Kollwitz piece entitled "Self-Portrait at the Table". Just below the photo it states the following in fine print:
"This exhibition, on loan from the permanent collection of the Minnesota Museum of Art, has been organized by the College of St. Catherine as its contribution to: "Germany in the Twenties: the Artist as Social Critic," a series of exhibitions and performances coordinated by the University of Minnesota and supported in part by a grant from the Endowment for the Humanities, a federal agency; the Institute for Foreign Relations of the West German government; Goethe Institute, Chicago; and Henkel Corporation, Minneapolis, a United States subsidiary of Henkel KGaA, Dusseldorf, West Germany."

The rare exhibition poster measures 18" tall and 14" wide. The paper is thicker, possibly card stock. The piece definitely shows its age and use. There are two horizontal creases in the lower part of the poster (see pics). There is a small discoloration spot in the lower righthand corner. The top right corner is experiencing slight wear. There are a few areas showing slight crinkling. The reverse has the shows evidence of adhesive. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. The vintage poster will be rolled and shipped in a rolling tube. Free shipping on the Kathe Kollwitz poster.
The Twin Cities are a haven for the arts, and this exhibition poster is one of the many that proves it. Don't miss out.
