Here we have an old marble slab ashtray with a bronze tiger prowling for his next prey. He's ready to pounce. The art deco piece is a belter, both in weight and powerful presence. They didn't cut any corners when dreaming up this beast. They wanted you to feel like the boss when you were smoking that fat stogie. Straight, no chaser. Tobacciana at its finest, and perfect for your cigar store or smoking room.
The figural ashtray was found in a large collector's estate in southern Minnesota amongst many other art deco items. I tested the bronze with a magnet and it didn't magnetize.
The vintage ashtray measures 7" x 7". The marble is about 1" tall, and the top of the tiger's head is about 4 1/2" tall. There are some small chips in the marble, especially near the left paw (see pic). The tiger is experiencing wear throughout. There is still some crevice dust in the tiger. I'll leave that up to you. The bottom felt cover is in decent shape. It's still doing the job. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the ashtray.
When a guest sees this resting near your favorite chair, they'll know to step up their game. There's a new sheriff in town. Don't mess with a man or woman with a tiger ashtray.
