Here we have a rare antique Porkpie hat by The Young Bros company in Brooklyn. I’ve never seen the cool mix of black fur felt with the straw brim. It is such an OG gangster and I’ve never seen another one. Seriously, I'm sure the fella who wore this bruiser was lean, mean, and an intimidating machine. This is decades of attitude only found in the authentic old world. You’ll get the looks and part the seas of the crowds with this beauty.
The antique unicorn of a hat came out of an estate in Iowa. The piece was made in Brooklyn, likely in the early 1900s.
The antique Porkpie hat is sized 7 3/8. The brim measures 2 1/2”. From front to back it measures 8”. From side to side it measures 6 1/2”. There is a few small losses in the black fur felt. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
