Antique Stacked Black Leather Cane with Silver Thumb Cap
Here we have an antique stacked leather walking stick with an unusual silver end cap and a rare black leather. Some of these old leather canes were made by prisoners. Not sure if this is the case with this one, but it sure would help you in the clink. This late 1800s accessory will get you out of a jam if you accidentally zig when you should've zagged. I can't get over the silver cap, and how the cane widens at the curve handle. The old chap who owned this wanted the grip to end all grips. This beauty has all the brutal patina to win your case, and the weight to clear the room. I mean, the black leather is another level of attitude.
My guess is the leather cane was made between the Civil War period and the 1890s. The rare walking stick came out of an old estate in Iowa. I'm not sure if the cap is real silver or just silver plated. It doesn't magnetize.
The antique cane measures about 34" tall. The handle measures 5". The width of the top handle is just under 1". As stated before, there is patina throughout the leather and silver. The leather towards the bottom has some abrasions and discoloration. The step bends outward (see pics). The metal end has an old piece of industrial tape wrapped around it. I'll let you do what you want with it. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the jailbreak cane.
Grip it and rip it. So nasty, and so stylish. Avert your eyes, children!
