Antique Snake Walking Cane with Knob Top from Early 1900s
Here we have an antique wood carved snake cane with circular knob to top it off. The star of the show is the snake, with the bark being a dead on ringer for real snakeskin. If you think the look a good, wait til you feel it. If someone has a phobia of snakes, they will not like this cane one bit. They will venture to the other side of the street. It is wicked.
The wood carver wanted to go for it, and they took it all the way. He/she is a mystery to me. I can't find a signature anywhere.
The authentic cane was a part of a collection of antique and vintage canes, which was built by one collector over decades. Folk art canes were prominent in the collection, and this cane held it's own with the best of them.
The unusual walking stick measures 36 1/4" tall. The knob has a 1 3/4" diameter. The stick has a slight bend, which adds a nice touch to the snake coil. The cane is sturdy but I wouldn't put much weight on it. The look is too good. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the cane.
Imagine this cane right next to your snakeskin boots. Just because they walk away from you doesn't mean they don't respect you. This thing is bad to the bone.
