Here we have an antique silver walking cane with a bamboo shaft and all the silver hallmarks to take you back to 19th century England. The marks indicate the stick is from 1886 London and .925 sterling silver. The maker's mark looks like "C & D" but I'm not sure (see pics). The blackish dimpled silver mixed with slick bamboo wood makes for one crazy good night on the town.
Peaky Blinders, anyone? Seriously, you grab a newsboy hat and you're Sunday best and you're off to the races...literally. The silver handle even has a few small dents that will add to any gangster story. I'll let you fill in those blanks.
The authentic walking stick came out of a large antique and vintage cane collection accumulated by a collector from the Twin Cities.
The Victorian walking cane measures 35" long. The silver globe has a diameter of 1 1/2". You can find great original patina everywhere. As mentioned above, there are three indentations (one larger, two smaller on each side) found on the silver globe handle (see pics). The cane is missing the ferrule at the bottom. There is a very slight bend with the bamboo. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the cane.
If there's an item that is simultaneously classy and gnarly, this is the one. Peaky ___________ Blinders!
