Antique Sheriff Handcuffs with Bowtie Chain Design and 2 Keys
Here we have an unusual set of antique sheriff handcuffs from the 1800s. These bad boys are definitely wrought out of bruising iron. Beyond all the nuances of hand forged metal, you have the coolest ridged bowtie chain designs.. Apparently this blacksmith wanted to make a point and stand out from the crowd. love all the bumps and bruises produced through the metalwork process...and after, for that matter. And they still work! 2 keys and all. Bad to the ever-loving bone.
The cuffs were found near Mankato, Minnesota. I believe they were hand forged in the late 1800s.
The handcuffs measure about 14 1/2"-15" long. Two functional keys are included in the package.. There is great patina everywhere on the cuffs. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
