Antique Model T Tire Letterpress Printing Blocks | Early 1900s
Here we have a set of antique Model T tire letterpress blocks from the early 1900s. Check out the gripping grooves of these beasts. And imagine putting this stamp on every material coming across your desk. Fantastic. I love the detail on these rare unicorns. Now with the rise of old letterpresses again, you're back in the classic car tire business.
The rare letterpress block came out of an old estate in rural Minnesota. On the reverse of the small wood block someone wrote "(indistinct) Garbage Co" in marker. We have a mystery company on our hands.
The large antique letterpress block measures about 4" tall, 1 1/2" wide, and just under 1" deep. The smaller block measures 2" tall, 3/4" wide, and just under 1" deep. The pieces are very solid. There is perfect patina throughout the metal face.s Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only. Free shipping on the rare gas and oil memorabilia.
