Antique Gooseneck Desk Lamp with Unusual Shade | 1920s
Here we have an antique gooseneck desk lamp with an unusual bowl shaped shade. The crazy look is so unique that the shade caught my eye from a good distance away. As I approached the light, the consistent gun metal patina covering everything sealed the deal. Instant. The flexibility of the gooseneck and all the funky poses.....done and done.
The vintage desk light comes an old Wisconsin estate and was mede in the Art Deco period, likely the 1920s. I can't get over the shade. It's a rare bird with gun metal wings.
The antique desk lamp stands about 14" tall in its natural position. The diameter of the shade is 6". The gooseneck measures 11". The base measures 6" long, 3 3/4" wide, and just under 1" tall. The light works fine with the original wiring. It's always good to check the wiring for yourself and act accordingly. The gooseneck is solid and tight. The shade tilts both directions, but occasionally the tilted position slips. The socket has small dent towards the rear. As stated above, there's patina everywhere, including scrapes, surface rust and wicked paint loss. Full tilt industrial decor, y'all. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). Free shipping on the unusual light.
Trust me, with this shade and the gun metal patina, you'll notice it from across the way too.
