Here we have antique inlay crucifix with a smiling skull and crossbones. \ The inlay is a nice touch, especially anchored by the smiling skull. This is straight out of the exorcist. The flaking patina takes it to another level of power.
I think the crucifix was made in the early 1900s but it may be earlier. It comes out of a collection of old priest and nun crucifixes, most of which have the skull and crossbones.
I tested the piece with a magnet and only the nails magnetized. The Christ figure might be brass. Which it comes to religious wall art, this one may be a bit left of center.
The crucifix measures 12 1/2" tall and just under 6" wide. It's delicate and rattles slightly. The decals on the top and bottom shift. The skull nail might need a couple taps so it stays in place. The flaking is prominent, and you might lose a couple flakes in the shipping process. Overall this piece has patina everywhere, and it couldn't look better. This baby has a power and a look.
Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the crucifix.
This one's ready for your living room or your horror movie set. If they are one in the same, I salute you! It's a killer piece. Don't miss out.
