Here we have a rare Civil War tintype of two Union soldiers in casual poses. This historical relic is a fantastic window through time. I love the hat resting on the soldier's knee. We're looking at a brief respite from the horrors of the Civil War. The rosy cheeks are a nice touch. An incredible glimpse of history.
The rare antique photograph comes out of an extensive Civil War collection which contained some very rare and unusual photography. The 6th plate tintype is housed in a period brass mat.
The cased tintype measures about 3 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" wide. There is some slight wear from age throughout the tintype. The sharpness of the image really pops and breaks through all of it. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the unusual 19th century Civil War photograph.
Take a look through time and land right next to these two gents.
