Here we have rare art deco paperweight of a pair of pups, one's a Scottie Terrier and the other is a longer eared complement. I'm not sure the breed of the other one but they are a handsome duo. I believe the piece is bronze as its doesn't magnetize. Maybe brass? Anyways, look at that stare! He's Scottish and a bit grumpy. Maybe it's the leash hook on his neck. Whatever it is, he's about ready to bite your ankle.
The piece was found in a collector's estate in Southern Minnesota, amongst a bunch of art deco trinkets. I believe this piece was created in the 1930s. When it comes to antique paperweights, two is better than one.
The paperweight tops out at about 1 3/4" tall, and about 2" wide. Great patina covers both dogs. I love the look and they are minute, yet solid. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
These dogs will hunt. I repeat, these dogs will hunt. Don't miss out.
