Here we have an antique brass standing crucifix from the early 1900s. The black and bronze colors mixed with the patina set the scene perfectly for the powerful scene. The ICON emblem hangs above the Christ figure and another unknown emblem hangs below his feet. Even though the piece only stands about 8" tall, it still packs a punch and begs you not to get back up. Powerful stuff from the turn of the century.
The antique crucifix came out an old estate in southern Minnesota. Word is it came out of a nun's estate.
The rare brass cross stands just over 8" tall and about 3 1/2" wide at the cross. The diameter of the base is about 2". There is perfect patina everywhere. Nothing magnetizes (except the bolt underneath) so I'm assuming it's all brass. The cross leans eerily to the right...so good. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
