Here we have an antique brass Gettysburg, Pennsylvania medallion or pendant on a modern keychain string. The embossed design has a very art deco feel to it, which leads me to believe this is from the 20s or 30s. I've looked everywhere and haven't found another example with this design. It's a rare bird indeed. The fact that it comes from the site of infamous Civil War battle makes all the better.
The collectible was found in an old collector's estate in southern Minnesota amongst a variety of collectible items from the 20s and 30s.
The medallion measures about 1" in diameter. There is great patina throughout. There is heavy wear along the non-embossed sides of piece. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
