Here we have a detailed Steampunk art print of a charcoal drawing of Carcassonne by the French artist Albert Robida. Check out the Hotel de la Cite behind the fortress. The professionally framed piece is signed in the plate.
The piece came out of a doctor's art collection in St. Paul. He travelled the world extensively, likely in goggles and a dirty top hat.
Robida was a French illustrator who heavily influenced the Steampunk movement. Here's an article about Robida's influence courtesy of Steampunk Fashion.
The framed piece measures 17" x 15". The exposed image measures 11 x 8.5". There is some foxing near the top middle edge. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on this piece.
Robida was the man behind the Steampunk plan. Don't miss out.
