Here we have an amazing African birthing fertility sculpture from the Chokwe tribe. The African wood carver used a very heavy thick wood. I am unsure of the age but the piece has a nice patina. Wooden carvings from Africa always have a striking look. This one is no exception.
The sculpture is 18" long, 6" wide, and 5 1/2" tall (laying down, it rises 5 1/2 inches from the desk in the picture) at it's highest point. There is general wear found Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
