19th Century Red Start Liner Broadside Poster for Steamship
Here we have a rare 19th century broadside poster advertising the Red Star Liner steamship, ready to take you off to far distant lands. There is so much wicked typography and old timey pointing finger designs pointing at "FOR TICKETS.". Antwerp, Liverpool, Great Britain, Europe, and the United States. My favorite part is in some smaller print towards the bottom. It reads:
Also for DRAFTS, IN SUMS TO SUIT Payable in any part of the United States and Europe, AND FOR ANY OTHER INFORMATION OF GREAT VALUE TO INTENDING EMIGRANTS, APPLY TO.
Here comes the flood of history. Imagine this hanging on your wall, blowing the minds of your guests.
The rare original broadside comes out of the Minnesota Historical Society archives. The piece was created sometime in the late 1800s.
The rare broadside poster measures 22" tall by 12" wide. There is evidence of age and use everywhere. There are losses along all the edges. The Minnesota Historical Society stabilized the piece on a backing board. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street address in the continental only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the rare poster.
