19th Century Landscape Painting with Distant Castle | 1800s
Here we have an explosion of a 19th century landscape painting. Full disclosure, landscapes aren't my first choice but landscapes that breathe will be my first choice every time. When I turned the corner and saw this hanging amongst other artworks, I can say this piece was glowing compared to the rest. Nothing but respect for an artist hand that can produce all of these layers, landing in a perpetual explosion. Landscapes are legit.
The antique landscape painting comes out of an old estate of an art collector in Chicago. The painting is signed illegibly in the lower right corner. We're dealing with a mystery artist.
The unframed 19th century painting measures 25 1/2 wide by 21 1/2" tall. There is craquelure from age and patina throughout the painting. Near the bottom middle there is a section experiencing loss (see pic). Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the amazing 19th Century artwork.
This little beauty will burn your retinas. And that's a good thing.
