Here we have an original 1950s charcoal and graphite study of a worker smoking in anger. Check out the glare, because it’s  a masterclass in mid-century realism. I don’t know how his day is going but my guess he’s had better ones. The detail is bananas on this cool artwork. This is all the business, and business is good.

This beauty is a piece that doesn't just sit on the wall; it watches the room. He’ll always remind you that your day may be brighter than you think.

The vintage drawing came out of a collector's estate in Chicago. The drawing is signed illegibly and dated 1955. I haven’t figured out the artist so we have a mystery on our hands.

The framed Social Realism drawing measures 18 1/2" tall by 14 1/2" wide. The artwork is in good shape given the age. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses on the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the midcentury realism drawing.

What a gem. The dangling cigarette!
