1950s Pin Up Nude Drawing of Posing Woman | Rockabilly Culture
Regular priceSale price
Here we have a vintage pin up art drawing of a nude woman, straight out of the 1950s. There's something about the execution of this colored pencil drawing that screams hot rod and rockabilly culture. The hairstyle alone will set the building on fire. And to put it over the top, the artist considered drawing a bikini and shoes....but then decided against it. The devil's in the details, and details are plenty with this pin up artwork.
The colored pencil drawing comes out of a folk art collector's estate. The drawing was likely executed in the 1950s. The artwork is unsigned and artist is still a mystery.
The drawing on paper measures 26 1/2" tall by 9 1/4" wide. The artwork is housing on a backing board for storage and shipping. There is a slight discoloration to the right of her naval. There's also a slight horizontal crease near her shins (see pics). Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
