1950s Industrial Food Plant Sign from Pabst Brewery | 36" x 24"

Here we have a rare gem of an industrial sign barking out cleanliness orders in bold red letters. And they mean business. "THIS IS A FOOD PLANT. KEEP AREA CLEAN" They will do anything to protect their factory, and this sign helped hammer the point down. And here's the kicker. It's likely this sign was used in the Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery in Milwaukee. So imagine the overnight crew dealing with the bold, and with the amount of bruises on this sign, they made their feelings known.

And can we just state the obvious? You throw this large bruiser in your kitchen, you're totally cooking with hot sauce while laying down the law.

I can't find another example of this bold beauty. The closest I found was another sign from the Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee, which also uses the phrase "This is a Food Plant." The large sign came out of a collector's estate in Eastern Wisconsin, near Milwaukee. I was told the sign was likely made in the 1950s.

The old industrial sign measures 36" wide by 24" tall. There is a very cool wear from age around. the edges, which is typical of these types of enamel signs.
