Here we have a stunning Cubist Mid Century Modern painting straight out of 1950s Chicago. The abstract industrial criss cross going on will suck you in and never let go. You can stare at this rustic beauty for hours. I speak from experience since I had this hanging in my living room. The MCM abstract is an organic living thing. I swear you can see the blocks shift in this one. And now here's the little secret that I spotted as soon as I laid eyes on her. There are two small strokes of light blue in the center of the vintage painting. It will tap your guests' unconscious, leaving them standing in awe in front of it. Don't tell'em, just let'em get hypnotized. Unreal piece.
The rare 1950s painting came out of a Chicago estate of a high end art collector. The painting is signed "J.P." and dated 1952 in the bottom right corner. I haven't nailed down the artist so we're dealing with a mystery artist.
The framed MCM industrial painting measures 31" tall by just under 23". There is a light painting across the thick paint on the canvas. The stretch of the canvas is slightly loose. There is a small indentation in the lower left (see pic). A re-stretch should help with it. I was told frame was made by the artist. The frame shows its age. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on this rare industrial abstract painting.
There's a reason she lived in my house. One of the coolest industrial style painting I've ever owned. It will shift, I tell ya.
