1940s Moody Painting of a Painter in Thought | Massachusetts
Here we have a cool and moody painting of a painter in a concentration pose, complete with the paintbrush in his mouth. Well, this is a new scene in my historical purview. The edgy tone sets the stage and ultimately sets the vibe in your room. The slashing brush strokes across the head and sliding baby blue heading towards the bottom are so cool. It all comes together to one form one explosion. So, so cool.
The unusual vintage painting comes out of an estate in Worcester. I was told the painting was done by an artist who worked for the Worcester newspaper in the 1940s. The painting is unsigned so the research continues.
The vintage painting measures 20" tall by 16" wide. There is slight patina from age throughout the painting. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping the moody painting.
