1940s Magicians Journal with Shows from Northeast America

Here we have a very rare and unique journal from a traveling magician in the 1940s of Northeast America. Where I seriously start with this gift that keeps on giving? Richard the Magician was very thorough in his documentation. Let's just break out the sections of the binder for you:

- Patter Bits
- Miscellaneous
- Engagements
- Advertising
- Program Building

I believe Richard the Magician's home base was Providence, Rhode Island. But he ventured all over the area. You'll be able to feast your eyes on journal entries after shows at Odd Fellow's, Mason's, churches and schools. He was a touring animal. You can read all about it. If you like the unusual or know a magician in the making, look no further than this rare little gem.

The binder measures 9" by 7" by 1 1/2". The pages and sections show their age. Some pages are loose in the binder. But everything Richard poured out is within the binder. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I've never seen anything like it. A perfect window into a unique time and place. Fascinating.
