Here we have a Burlesque Theater panel with a large painted photograph of a nude female dancer in a pose. This sexy wall art was a very popular item in the theater as evidenced by the major patina, including pinholes (see pics). The Burlesque panel apparently hung in a theater on the East Coast, possibly New York. If only it could talk. What a killer history. I've owned the historic Burlesque artifact for years. She's a stunner.
In the following link you can find similar examples (with more clothing) in
this photograph of a Burlesque Theater in 1941.
The painted photograph on wood measures 23" tall by 20" wide. As stated above, there is historical patina everywhere. However, the item is solid. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). Free shipping on this piece.
I'm a sucker for a belly dancer. This historical artifact was a no-brainer. Dead sexy.
