1920s Deco Painting of Stylized Woman Gazing | "Bethinski"
Here we have a small yet stunning Deco painting of a woman peering into the deep in the most striking pose. This beauty comes out right out of the heart of 1920s Chicago, and I was told the artist was a student of the Chicago Institute of Art. Back to the painting. The darker tones permeating the blue and red makes me dizzy. The awkward pose isn't awkward at all when it all comes together. She's a beauty that keeps on giving.
The 1920s Deco painting was executed in the 1920s and is signed "Mully" in the lower left corner. On the reverse there is a personal message:
"Bethinski" is yours Roy - I hope you like her.
The rare Deco painting measures 13 3/4" wide by 12 3/4" tall and 1" deep. There is a small speckles of losses throughout the surface of the painting, almost like small snowflakes. I'm a fan of the patina but it's patina nonetheless. The painting can easily be removed from the frame if you so desire. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the antique painting.
She's a 100 year old beauty from every angle. Check it out again.
