Vintage Spotlight with Wall Clamp and Adjustable Knuckles | 1940s
Here we have a bruising spotlight with a clamp base and two adjustable knuckles. If this doesn't scream industrial decor, I really don't know what does. The vintage accent light is one of the coolest I've ever come across. I can't find another example with the knuckle adjusters, one to lean back, and one to look both ways before crossing the road. Imagine planting this bad boy front row center, or drilled into a stud in your wall. Nimble as a thimble. I love this beast.
The rare industrial spotlight comes out of an old vacant store. It was likely used to light a display or storefront. Based on the Union Made sticker, my guess is the light is from the 1940s, but it feels like it's earlier.
The rare vintage spotlight measures about 19" tall, 14" deep, and 12 1/2" wide. There is perfect patina everywhere, including surface wear and old paint speckles. The new wiring is industrial grade. The spotlight came with an old 500 watt bulb. In order to not melt my face, the pictured version has a socket adapter for a smaller bulb, and a 100 watt bulb. You can easily step up the wattage if you wish. The clamp seal for the glass still works, even though it's rusty. The rubber below the seal is dried out and cracking as some spots. It still does a decent job though. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
