Vintage Illustration Art of Man in Cloak with Creepy Fingers | 1958
Here we have a vintage illustration art drawing of a mysterious cloaked gentleman with some seriously creepy hands. And he likes that book y'all. It's got all of life's secrets. The ink illustration on artist board was created in 1958, and even has a written confirmation of payment on the reverse.
The artist is a mystery to me. There is an illegible signature in the bottom right corner. It looks like "Edwynn Sorbene"? At the top someone wrote "Gillott 202." Codes all over the place! I'm also not sure about the publication where this illustration appeared. The vintage drawing came out of an estate from the Chicago area.
The unframed illustration measures 8 3/4" tall and 6" wide. There is some slight discoloration, especially along the borders. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
