Here we have a vintage Balinese painting with everything going on. I mean everything. You have the goddess in the mouth of the much larger god(?). Then a million insects. This is a situation, and a great one. And then you have the killer tone. It's Ubud stye to the hilt.
The unusual Bali painting is signed Dana and marked as Pengosekan, Bali. I believe the ubud painting was created in the 1970s. My guess is it's a watercolor with gouache highlights. Not certain though. Please zoom on the pics.
The vintage artwork came out of a Twin Cities art collection that featured many exotic sculptures and artwork. They shipped many art objects from Bali.
The framed painting measures 24" tall and 30" wide. The frame is solid yet vintage. From what I can tell, the painting on cloth is in very good condition. I don't see any holes, tears or rips. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
