Vintage American Standard #5 Balance Jewel Watch Kit
Here we have an American Standard balance jewel kit for American watches, system #5. I know very little about making watches but now I know the old kits look really cool. There are marked vials everywhere (and a watch tool), some of which have a few parts left. Pair that with the cool industrial chart above, you're about ready to make your watchmaking dreams come true. Or add to your cool industrial decor. Or both!
The balance jewel kit came out of an old estate in rural Minnesota.
The kit measures 10" wide, 5" tall, and just under an inch deep. The latches are both non-existent (see pic). The vials and cork stoppers are in varying condition. I'm also unclear if the full set is all here. Some of the vials are pressed into the kit sections tightly. I'll let you use your magic touch reorganizing the kit. The kit is sold AS IS found.
