Here we have an antique stacked leather walking stick with a hook handle and the brute force for all your self defense needs. You have an iron core surrounded by tightly wrapped leather straps, and a pretty little brass strap to take a little bit of the edge off. It looks fantastic but the edge doesn't come off. Long story short, this early 1900s accessory will get you out of a jam if you accidentally zig when you should've zagged. Wicked.
The old walking stick came out of an estate in southern Minnesota. My guess is it's from the early 1900s but it may be earlier.
The vintage leather walking stick measures about 34 1/2" tall and about 5 1/4" wide at the hook. As you can imagine, the cane weighs more than it appears. The leather strips are tight and there is light patina throughout. The ferrule at the base is missing. The brass strap near the top has some scratches.
