Here we have a rare large Was (Not Was) album promo poster from 1988. It's promoting the album "What Up, Dog?", which was infamously sampled in the movie "Pump Up The Volume." The song was "Hi Day, I'm in Jail." Here's a clip of the song:
The intense graphics on this really jump. The poster screams 80s underground....where you needed to be to get any respect.
So I looked all over creation to find another copy anywhere else. No dice. Here's the kicker...I have three more copies in similar to slightly worse condition. This listing is just for the one pictured. If you're interested in additional copies, send me a message and I can get you some pictures.
This vintage rock poster was found in a large lot of vintage posters ranging from the 50s to the 80s.
The poster measures 36" tall x 27" wide. There is crinkling present, especially along the top edge (see pics). There is storage wear throughout. But this piece is so mean the image shines through no matter what. This piece will look great framed.
