Here we have a rare antique railroad wrench by the Chicago, Milwaukee and Puget Sound Railroad (CM & PSRY). Based on the history of the Milwaukee Road, I believe this rare wrench was produced between 1906 and 1912. Name changes occurred before and after (see history below).
I salute the crew that used this bad boy on a daily basis. The massive wrench a belter with a capital "B." Man, I hope no one lost their temper while holding this thing. Major impact.
This rare railroad tool came out of the estate of a collector in Minnesota. The white tag was included when I acquired it. I haven't found another one on the internet as of yet.

"The Milwaukee Road, officially the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (reporting mark MILW), was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States from 1847 until 1980, when its Pacific Coast Extension was embargoed in the states of Montana, Idaho, and Washington. Its core Midwest system was merged into the Soo Line Railroad on January 1, 1986. The Pacific Coast Extension from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, planned between 1901 and 1906 and built between 1906 and 1909, was carried out under the auspices of the Chicago, Milwaukee and Puget Sound Railroad. This corporate entity was folded into its parent company in 1912."

The antique railroad wrench is about 20" long. The gap on one end is 1 3/4", and 2" on the other. The tool is an old brick house of an item, and it shows it. Everywhere you will find great patina and evidence of use, including rust, discoloration and general surface wear. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
