Here we have a haunting ink drawing of a bearded medieval man in a cloak. It has the feel of an old master drawing. I can't find a signature. Old heavy drawing paper was used for this piece.
The piece was found in a stack of prints and drawings from Europe, ranging from the 1500's to the early 1900s. My estimate is that this piece is from the 1800s.
The paper measures 10" x 7.5". The actual oval drawing measures 5.5" x 4".
The paper has significant staining and discoloring over the years. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
