Here we have a rare vintage black and white drawing by listed California artist Jose Lozano. There are pop culture scenes all over the place. It seems to have film themed, just like the other Lozano piece offered in my shop. The movie "El Derecho de Sufrir" drives the scene all around it. I have no idea what is written on the floor of the phone booth, but I'm sure it rocks. And the guy in the cafe with a nude woman on his lap...well, what can I tell you.
The rare artwork is signed in the bottom right corner by the artist and dated April 1982.
The piece comes out of an old art collection of Chicano art from the 70s and 80s. I have another pop art drawing by Jose Lozano listed in the store as well.

The unframed drawing measures 20" wide by 18" tall. The piece has a significant tear (11 inches) in the bottom right corner. I applied paper preservation tape on the reverse (see pic). There are some slight wrinkles in the corners and along the edges. There is a pinhole along the top right edge. There are a few discoloration areas as well. The artwork is sold AS IS.
