Here we have a industrial style artwork from the 1970s by Minnesota listed artist, Frederic Marcel Munoz (1931 - 2020). This mixed media beauty has the slick look that will beam and turn those heads. The dichotomy of the aluminum and teak had me immediately, and it didn't take long to imagine it on my wall illuminated by a wicked industrial light. Seriously, the 70s artwork will look good on any wall, but in a loft setting, you're seriously cooking with hot sauce. Straight, no chaser.
The artwork is titled "Man #2" and was created between 1974 and 1975, based on the provenance on the reverse. The artist lists his name and address on the reverse, as well as a value of $500.
Here is a snippet about Freddy Munoz from the Minneapolis Institute of Art
Press Release for the artist's 2006 show.
Born in the 1930s in colonial Algeria to a Spanish father and a French mother, Muñoz now works in his Minneapolis studio, advancing his signature themes and constantly evolving his technique to increasingly greater achievement. His new paintings are natural outgrowths of work began in Mexico more than a decade ago, focusing on the theme of “apocalypse.”

Here is the a
rtist's obituary from the Star Tribune:
The Freddy Munoz artwork measures 13 1/2" tall and 13 1/2" wide at its widest point. There is some wear on the aluminum (see pics). One of the pieces of teak wood sticks out, which is caused by the hanging screw on the reverse. This can likely be adjusted to your preference. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
