Edon Esrobert Articulating Clamp Light with 3 Joints - 1930s

Here we have amazing specimen of industrial light manufacturing at its finest. It's a vintage Edon Esrobert adjustable clamp light from the 1930s. It has three joint flat disc knuckles (also known as friction joints), and it swivels in any direction. You know it's a good industrial light when you can easily clock anyone walking by your workbench.

The previous owner used this in his cabinet making shop for decades. He loved the flexibility and toughness of the light. He was right. It is super flexible and tough as a coffin nail. Let's just say that the tank green color is appropriate.

The first arm measures 7.5". The second arm measures 9.5". The first disc has a diameter of 3". The second disc is about 2.5". The third is about 2". Fully extended, the light measures 22 1/2" from the table to the third disc.

This bad boy has patina in all the right ways. Scrapes and some slight surface rust are present. Not sure if the securing bolt and washer on the base are original (see pic) The discs are tight and function well. The lamp outer and inner shade has surface rust.

The Edon lamp has vintage wiring that works fine. It's old but likely not original wiring. The Bryant switch doesn't fully click when turned on, but does when turned off. (I see this often with vintage lights and sockets). Anyways, the light turns on and off just fine. The wiring measures about 7 1/2 feet. The lamp worked great in my shop. However, I always recommend reviewing the wiring for yourself and act accordingly.
