Early Copper Pitcher Pot with Thick Dovetailed | 1700s?

Here we have a very old and unusual copper brass mixed metal pitcher pot with all the handmade originality and fixings you can think of. From the thick dovetailed design to the major patina, this meaty beast is a sight to behold and a good weight in the hand. I admit this isn't my normal fare but I couldn't take my eyes off the thing. The genre is a new player in my world. The origins are a mystery to me but I've seen a few examples and they are listed as from the 1700s. Not if is that's the case with this gem.

The antique pitcher pot comes out of an old folk art collection in Iowa.

The early copper watering jug stands 12" tall, 14 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. As stated above there is a patina from age everywhere, and I mean everywhere. It's one of the main reasons I bought the artifact. There are a few slight sliver cracks. However, it is extremely solid. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street address in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the old copper pitcher pot.

They don't make them like this anymore. An absolute beast of a beauty.
